Clyde-Savannah High School Principal Dr. Craig Pawlak has invited one of the district’s own graduates to deliver the commencement address for 2023. A member of Clyde-Savannah’s Class of 1990, Ryan T. Colvin, PE, President and CEO of MRB Group, will speak at ceremonies scheduled to take place on Friday, June 23, at 7 pm.

“It’s a great honor to be invited by my alma mater to speak,” Colvin stated, indicating that he intends to share both professional and personal advice that may serve as a compass for graduating seniors facing a new world of possibilities.

“This is a great opportunity for our graduates to hear an inspirational message from someone who once walked these same hallways,” said Dr. Pawlak. “Mr. Colvin’s accomplishments demonstrate the solid educational foundation that Clyde-Savannah students continue to receive, helping to set them up for success in their future careers.” he continued.

Colvin’s interest in Civil Engineering began at Clyde-Savannah High School where he excelled in his math and science curricula. He attended Virginia Tech and ultimately became licensed in New York State as a Professional Engineer. He rose through the ranks at MRB Group and became its President and CEO in 2011. Under his leadership, the firm increased revenues by 1100% in eleven years.

“Mr. Colvin’s professional success reflects the exceptional education provided by Clyde-Savannah Central School District,” said Superintendent Mike Hayden. “We are delighted to welcome him back as our commencement speaker, and we believe that his remarkable journey will resonate deeply with our graduates, inspiring them to pursue their dreams.”
