MRB Group is leading two studies—an Advanced Industry Clusters study and a Supply Chain Analysis—commissioned by Empire State Development’s Division of Science, Technology & Innovation (NYSTAR). The studies are supported by a Statewide Planning Grant issued by the U.S. Economic Development Administration.
An MRB-led consulting team will analyze high-value, high-multiplier industry clusters across New York State, identifying strategies to accelerate their growth and to achieve stronger competitiveness and supply chain efficiencies. The studies will provide ESD with current, market-grounded information about New York State’s strengths and opportunities for expansion to generate long-term follow-on economic growth. Conclusions and recommendations from the study will inform New York State agencies’ global industry attraction efforts, innovation ecosystem investments, site development investments, workforce development programming, and other initiatives.
Rochester-based MRB Group has over one hundred talented and multi-disciplined professionals, including engineers, architects, planners, and consultants with specialized expertise in economic development strategic planning, implementation, and related advisement services. The consulting team also includes the Center for Regional Economic Competitiveness (CREC); Global Location Strategies; FuzeHub; the New York State Economic Development Council (NYSEDC); and the New York State Science and Technology Law Center (NYS STLC) at the Syracuse University College of Law.
