Construction Observers – New York State

MRB Group Engineering, Architecture & Surveying, D.P.C. is seeking qualified Construction Observers to oversee the construction of improvements to water distribution systems, sewer collection systems, pump stations, subdivision roads, and drainage facilities. Minimum qualifications include 7-10 years of utility and site construction experience. The successful candidate will be familiar with construction documents and will be responsible for ensuring that the construction conforms to the information presented in these documents. Knowledge of the Phase II stormwater requirements, building construction, and concrete work is a plus. Mechanical, plumbing, and electrical knowledge are also helpful. Individual should be a self-starter with the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment. Excellent written and oral communication skills a must.

Site / Civil Engineer

We are currently seeking a Site/Civil Engineer. Candidate will work with our planning and municipal services group, providing support on subdivision and site plan reviews, planning board activities, general planning services, and SWPPP/site inspections. Minimum qualifications include a planning or civil engineering-related degree with a minimum of 3-5 years experience. Some of the skills that would be desired for this position include a strong knowledge of site plan design, proficiency in stormwater and hydraulic calculations, familiarity with State Environmental Quality Review (SEQR), NYSDEC and MS4 stormwater regulations, comprehensive plans, and zoning regulations. Candidate should be proficient in Word and Excel and have excellent writing skills. AutoCAD or GIS skills would be a plus. Successful candidates will be self-starters with good communication skills and the ability to work well in a team environment. Individual may also be expected to represent the firm in meetings and conferences with clients, regulatory agencies, and officials of other organizations.

Civil Engineers Junior / Senior - Rochester

Team Leader / Project Manager

We are currently recruiting for a Team Leader/Project Manager to join our team.

Candidate will be responsible for client and project development, client interaction, and client meetings. The individual will represent the firm in meetings and conferences with clients, regulatory agencies, and officials of other organizations. Candidate must have experience and background with civil engineering disciplines and especially water and wastewater conveyance and treatment or utility/infrastructure design. Team Leader/Project Manager will develop projects with clients and then will be involved in the oversight and management of the design and construction of those projects while maintaining client contact. Only candidates with the ability to apply advanced engineering techniques and demonstrate exceptional problem solving and communication skills will be considered. Public speaking and interactions with clients, politicians, and municipal officials will be expected. Licensure is required with a minimum of 10 years of experience. Planner - Texas

MRB Group is a multi-disciplined, high-energy engineering, architecture and planning firm where creativity and innovation are valued.  We are currently recruiting for a Planner/Planning Project Manager to join our growing team in the Central Texas region.

 

Candidate will be responsible for client and project development, and will represent the firm in meetings and conferences with clients, regulatory agencies, and officials of other organizations. Candidate must have experience and background with municipal planning, and be familiar with municipal organizational structure and operations, roles, and responsibilities.  Preference will be given to those who have conducted or assisted with: research in the field of planning; reviews of municipal policies, ordinances, and land-use; data gathering and analysis; public engagement activities such as workshops, charrettes, focus groups and public surveys; management of planning studies; and preparation of planning documents such as Master Plans and Comprehensive Plans in the municipal environment.  Candidates must be able to comprehend typical site plans and elevations, and must possess a strong ability to translate from maps, plans and engineering documents into descriptive written communication and public presentations in laymen’s terminology.  Candidate should have the ability to create and communicate conceptual designs.  Familiarity with development review processes and grant writing / administration is extremely beneficial. 

Only candidates with the ability to demonstrate exceptional problem solving and communication skills, both written and oral, will be considered.  Public speaking, presentation skills, and interactions with clients, community residents, municipal staff and elected officials will be expected. Ability to utilize the Microsoft Office suite of products and Adobe In-Design is preferred.

Requirements include professional accreditation and/or a minimum of 10 years of direct experience.  A competitive salary and full benefits package are being offered.

Marketing Specialist - Texas

MRB Group is a multi-disciplined, high-energy engineering, architecture and planning firm where creativity and innovation are valued.  We are currently recruiting for a Marketing Specialist to join our growing team in the Central Texas region.

 Candidate will be responsible for internal and external customer relations in a fast-growing engineering, architecture and planning environment.  Primary duties involve managing a proposal process from initial intake and progress tracking through allocation of responsibilities, information gathering, writing compelling introductory narratives, and assimilation of technical information, in order to create a polished, compelling, competitive proposal.

Other administrative duties include post submission proposal tracking, database management, list preparation, tracking team-critical information such as licensure / professional accreditation and PDH credits, preparation of documentation for bids and projects, and assistance with a number of other publications related to marketing and branding of the corporation and its subsidiaries.

Candidate must have some familiarity with engineering and architecture terminology including knowledge of regulatory and funding agencies frequently referenced.  Requirements include: a demonstrated ability to create polished documentation; the ability to organize, alter, optimize and effectively utilize graphics; ability to demonstrate proficiency in MS Office suite of products and Adobe In-Design, and demonstrated writing and editing skills.  A minimum of 5 years of experience in professional document preparation, pre-press design, or equivalent combination of experience/education is required.

Candidates who receive an interview will be asked to complete an assignment to show proficiency in document design and preparation.
