MRB Group Expands to New Albany Location

November 4, 2024

MRB Group President Ryan Colvin recently announced the expansion of the firm’s presence in the Capitol region with the opening of a new office near the City of Albany, which will feature key staff. Located at 187 Wolf Road in Colonie, the office is conveniently close to the airport and many familiar amenities in a well-traveled area.

“In the MRB Group tradition, we are opening a new office with clients in mind,” said Colvin. “We are responding to the need for outstanding architecture and engineering services with the best team, in an optimal place,” he continued.

The office will feature a team led by Architecture National Director Tanya Mikeska Reed, and while the firm’s multi-disciplined expertise spans many industries and markets, a well-known leader in health care will be prominent at the new location. Udo Amman, AIA, has worked with administrative teams from many major medical institutions, and specializes not only in project management for capital projects, but also streamlining and expediting the many associated federal and state requirements surrounding maintenance of healthcare facilities.

“Clients who work with Udo benefit from his unique understanding of a complex regulatory system that affects hospital facilities,” Reed added. “He has helped dozens of administrators navigate the requirements, and has amassed the combined experience of all of them – over many years.”

Amman has worked both as a consultant and as a professional within the healthcare industry. His previous role as a Facilities Director for Trinity Health encompassed multiple, significant facilities and provided project management and safety as well as oversight for more than 100 personnel responsible for day-to-day operations.

“Even seasoned administrators respect his level of experience. Facility Directors know they are in good hands when Udo is on the team,” Reed stated.

Joining Amman in Albany will be Mackenzie Wilby, AIA, an architect who supports projects across many disciplines. Wilby has been a member of MRB Group’s Architecture Team for several years. She recently relocated to the Albany region from Central Texas, where she received accolades for her design and visualization skills, along with disciplined and diligent project management. Her experience includes working on significant capital projects including both major improvements and new facilities for school districts, counties, and city governments.

“I’m extremely proud of our team.” Reed continued. “Because we have built a culture at MRB Group that is client-focused, we excel by exceeding expectations. We produce award-winning projects that, most importantly, make our clients succeed.”

“That culture also helps our team experience professional advancement from day-one. Joining MRB Group is an accomplishment in itself. We strictly hire top-tier team members, and that talent pool is a magnet. It draws individuals who are driven to achieve. It’s making us one of the fastest-growing companies in the architecture and engineering industry, and our clients benefit from every part of that,” Reed concluded.

MRB Group provides engineering, architecture and strategic planning as well as operational and development support services in the municipal, educational, and health care industries. For more information, visit mrbgroup.com.
