Heather Simmons Jones of MRB Group Elected Alternate Director to the SEDC Board of Directors

Fayetteville, GA. – The Southern Economic Development Council (SEDC) is pleased to announce that Heather Simmons Jones of South Carolina has been elected as Alternate Director on the SEDC Board of Directors. Heather will serve a one-year term beginning January 1, 2026.

SEDC represents the world’s leading economy builders serving in the American South, which today stands as the premier global investment location and the third-largest economy in the world. In just the last three calendar years, SEDC members have facilitated nearly $600 billion in capital investment that is creating more than 600,000 new American jobs.

Alternate Directors share in governing an organization dedicated to serve this expanding network and to advance impactful programs that strengthen professional capacity and drive economic prosperity across the South.
