West Bloomfield Community Town Hall

MRB Group was selected to provide programming and concept design services for a new town hall on an existing parcel. The objective of the programming and study was to determine the feasibility of the site to accommodate a new town hall building.

The MRB Group team proposed a design solution with a town hall meeting room, offices for the town supervisor, clerk and justice, a planning office, code enforcement office, break room, and records storage room.The town retained MRB Group to provide full architecture/engineering design services, manage the bidding process, and provide construction administration services.

The structural design provides flexibility for a future town court addition and support spaces. The public lobby, meeting room and restrooms will have the required adjacency to the town court when that expansion occurs. The new building accommodates the town’s technological needs, yet was designed and scaled as a single story farmhouse set in a meadow, to blend with the community’s architecture and rural atmosphere.
