Wayland Village Wide Water System Improvements
Following the completion of a Preliminary Engineering Report (PER) for the Village of Wayland in 2017, MRB Group and the Village began a comprehensive project to improve the Village’s water system.
The project included the following:
- Replacement of approximately 38,000 LF of old water main of various sizes with 8” and 12” PVC water main.
- Installation of two (2) master meters.
- Construction of a new 1.0 MG concrete water storage tank.
- Valve control building and related site improvements, including miscellaneous demolition.
- Improvements to the North and South Well Houses including the addition of chemical feed pumps and associated appurtenances.
In addition to design services, MRB Group also provided full construction phase services, including construction administration and a resident construction observer for the project. This project received nearly $4 million in grant funding through NYS Environmental Facility Corporation (EFC) and Rural Development (RD).
