Village of Fairport – Economic Development Stategic Plan

The Village of Fairport Industrial Development Agency (IDA) engaged MRB Group to develop an economic development action plan that built on the Village’s comprehensive plan and recent economic studies.

MRB Group synthesized this pre-existing information and provided data-driven conclusions regarding potential demand for additional commercial, office, retail, industrial, and residential space, including the appropriate nature and sizing of such spaces. Following additional research, our team facilitated working sessions with key stakeholders to identify core values, a strategic vision, and goals.

MRB Group formulated clear priorities and action steps that will help the Village advance its economic development goals. The plan is built around four key focus areas: encouraging attainable housing, generating local employment, investing in placemaking and community development, and aligning development policies to support the Village’s vision.
