Strategic Economic and Organizational Plan – Florence County Economic Development Partnership

The Florence County Economic Development Partnership (SC) engaged MRB Group to create strategic and organizational plans, as it sought to align and focus economic development activities to further grow and diversify its industry base.  

MRB Group developed an internal plan for the FCEDP to validate its mission and goal areas and ensure appropriate capacity, partner alignment, and streamlining of activities based on the County’s needs and benchmarking data collected from similarly sized communities across the Southeast. Following an investigation of current economic conditions and trends, MRB Group is developing a strategic economic development plan to guide FCEDP and its partners in addressing challenges and opportunities related to target industries, workforce development, site development, and housing and infrastructure needs. The plan is being informed by significant stakeholder input, including extensive one-on-one interviews and four “town halls” across the County.
