Saluda Streetscape

MRB Group was selected as Engineer of Record to deliver site and civil engineering services for the reconfiguration of North Main Street in downtown Saluda, SC. The existing town center, located at the intersection of Main and Church Street, consisted of old, cracking concrete sidewalks that didn’t meet ADA compliance. The project includes reconstructed concrete sidewalks, ADA-compliant ramps and access, new handrails, pavement striping, new concrete planters and plantings, and relocating two SCDOT signal poles to improve ADA access and functionality at the intersection.

Services provided include:

• Design Phase:  Prepare construction contract drawings and  documents, bidding and construction administration
• Coordination with SCDOT
• Coordinating with building/property owners for necessary renovations to align with grading
• Schematic landscaping, hardscaping, and furniture
• Full site surveying and utility marking
