RIT College of Engineering
MRB provided architectural and interior design services for the renovation of corridors, shared public spaces, and student lounges at RIT’s College of Engineering. The college sought to elevate the look and feel of its public areas to reflect its identity and create a welcoming, contemporary environment for students. Through refreshed finishes, updated lighting, and strategic use of color, the renovation improves wayfinding and reinforces the college’s brand.
Working within existing conditions presented challenges in applying some finishes, which were addressed through careful detailing and material selection. A unique aspect of this project was the creation of a comprehensive design guide, establishing a precedent for future renovations across the college. The result is a cohesive, inviting space that resonates with both current and future students while supporting the college’s long-term vision.
