Niagara Digital Campus Economic and Fiscal Impact Analysis
Niagara Falls Redevelopment, LLC is proposing the “Niagara Digital Campus,” a $1.5 billion real estate development project in the City of Niagara Falls to build 9 data centers totaling 1.2 million square feet. The developer hired MRB Group to conduct an economic and fiscal impact analysis of the project on the City, the School District, and the County.
MRB Group conducted a thorough study of the project to highlight the new jobs, earnings, and sales the project would create, including both the construction phase and operational phase employment. We also quantified the new municipal revenues the project would bring to Niagara Falls, including new property tax, sales tax, and gross receipts tax.
MRB Group produced a comprehensive report outlining the economic and fiscal benefits of the Project over a twenty-year period. MRB presented this information at various meetings with key staff and elected officials at the city, school district, county and state.
Key Findings:
- Over $414 million in additional tax revenues over 20 years.
- Estimated savings of approximately $730 per year for the typical Niagara Falls homeowner.
- Earnings projected to exceed $1.66 billion over 20 years, supporting an average of 1,000 jobs per year.
