Naples Library

In 2021, the Naples Library hired MRB Group to design a new accessible entry addition to the existing community library.

The two-story, 1,000-square-foot addition provides a new entry with access to both floors of the library.

A new elevator and modifications to the existing stairs help to connect stack spaces, meeting areas, young-adult areas, and the children’s library.

To further enhance the library, our firm worked with the library staff and the board of directors to update the interior finishes, enhance operational items, and provide a gallery space for the display of local and traveling art.

The tasks included in this study were the following:

• Conducted information-gathering meetings with Library Staff and Volunteers.
• Conducted a thorough existing facility assessment.
• Studied addition options
• Preformed Schematic and Design Development phases.
