Farmington Highway Garage

The product of a creative design, effective engineering, and best practices, the new 48,500 sf highway garage is the centerpiece of the Town’s new Highway campus and
incorporates many building innovations that maximize space utilization, functional efficiencies, and energy conservation. The new structure replaced an outdated 11,000 sf highway building with a new 42,000 sf facility.

In an effort to promote sustainability and green infrastructure, the facility is equipped with:

• A radiant floor heating system beneath the administrative offices and maintenance garage areas
• High-efficiency boilers
• LED and occupancy sensing lighting
