Element Hotel by Westin
Located in the heart of the Berkshires, the Element Hotel by Westin is an 87-room extended-stay hotel designed to connect national brand standards with a strong sense of place. MRB Group provided architectural design services for the three-story, wood-framed development, adapting the building’s exterior character to reflect the region’s architectural context while remaining consistent with Element’s established identity.
The design incorporates many of the brand’s guiding principles, including an emphasis on natural light, inviting communal spaces, and guest environments that support comfort and well-being. Energy-efficient building systems and sustainable design strategies were integrated throughout the project, contributing to a modern hospitality experience that
responds to both operational needs and guest expectations.
Working closely with the client and project team, MRB tailored the building’s exterior materials, detailing, and architectural expression to complement the character of Lenox and the surrounding Berkshire landscape. The result is a contemporary hospitality destination that balances brand consistency with regional character, creating a welcoming environment that feels connected to its setting while serving the needs of both short-term and extended-stay travelers.
