Marriott Renaissance Albany
Albany, NY
While the historic fabric of this 1920s building was respected, new design elements were introduced through lighting, furniture, color and artwork. A playful take on traditional design was included on the lower floors and transformed into contemporary design on the upper floors. The result of this blending is the rebirth of an historic hotel that is once again a symbol of forward progress for New York State.
BIG IDEA
Blending old and new brings a once-vacant 1920s hotel into the 21st century.
