Marriott Renaissance Albany
While the historic fabric of this 1920s building was respected, new design elements were introduced through lighting, furniture, color and artwork. A playful take on traditional design was included on the lower floors and transformed into contemporary design on the upper floors. The result of this blending is the rebirth of an historic hotel that is once again a symbol of forward progress for New York State.
Blending old and new brings a once-vacant 1920s hotel into the 21st century.

It was clear from the beginning that we had the opportunity to do something really special with this project. The entire project team recognized this opportunity and really came together to give this historic gem a vibrant new life.
The historic DeWitt Clinton Hotel building is an important part of Albany’s history and now, as the Renaissance Albany Hotel, will be an important part of Albany’s future.
