G-9200 10-BED MED-SURG UNIT RENOVATION
Rochester, NY
This new 10-bed medical-surgical (med-surg) nursing unit is intended to expand the overall capacity of the existing med-surg unit on the first floor (one floor directly above) and also provide the hospital with the ability to meet the specialized needs of the units’ patients with behavioral health concerns. Additionally, since the length of stay for behavioral health patients can be significantly longer than the average med-surg patient, the new suite includes a generous day room which can be used for group therapy sessions as well as social activities and dining, and a warm and comforting aesthetic throughout the suite.
BIG IDEA
Ability to meet the specialized needs of the units’ patients with behavioral health concerns, by integrating design measures.
