Dansville Water Treatment Plant

MRB Group completed the design and provided construction services for a new water treatment facility in the Village of Dansville.  The facility contains three US Filter stainless steel mixed media filter units, each capable of filtering 1.0 million gallons of water per day.  In addition to the new plant, the intake facility on Little Mill Creek, the Village’s main source of water supply, was upgraded and improved.

The Village also has two drilled wells in the Town of Wayland available for use as needed.  Now, due to the design, the well water is capable of being filtered and/or blended with the surface water source.

Due to the unique design, this facility is completely gravity fed and provides finished water at a very efficient cost, keeping water rates at a minimum. 

Funding for the project was provided by the Drinking Water State Revolving Fund (DWSRF).
