avon free library
avon, ny
The Avon Free Library is located in the village of Avon in a 1928 traditional 2 story brick building. The goal of the renovation was to bring the library functionally into the 21st century while respecting its traditional roots. The first floor was opened-up to allow more natural light into the space and to provide a welcoming entry. The lower level was also opened-up to enhance visual access to spaces. Flexible furniture solutions give users choices in how the spaces can be utilized.
BIG IDEA
Respectfully renovating a historic library to fit its modern-day program.
