MRB Group President and CEO Ryan Colvin, PE, recently announced that J. Forest McKenzie, PE, PLS, and Brendon Wilson, PE, have joined the firm to continue its expansion in the greater Charleston area.
McKenzie, an accomplished Civil Engineer, Land Surveyor and Project Manager with more than 35 years of experience, has designed and coordinated large engineering and surveying projects in Berkeley, Charleston, and Dorchester Counties, as well as all over the nation. His civil engineering expertise crosses many disciplines, including water and wastewater improvement projects, drainage and site development, regulatory compliance, and transportation projects.
“In addition to supporting large scale community development, Forest’s multi-disciplinary background includes affordable housing, rehabilitation of urban neighborhoods, and main office building construction projects for the Housing Authorities of the City of Charleston and City of North Charleston. Additionally, Forest led the rehabilitation of utilities, stormwater, and historic structures for the Redevelopment Authority at the Charleston Naval Shipyard,” said Colvin.

“We are fortunate he chose MRB Group to continue his successful engineering career,” Colvin continued.
Wilson has been involved in significant site development and drainage projects for an array of federal and municipal entities, including the Charleston Air Force base, the US Army Corps of Engineers, and the South Carolina Aeronautical Training Center / Trident Technical College. His site design work has included various facilities from medical clinics, community centers, office buildings, training facilities, warehouses and fire stations to parking for educational institutions. His municipal work has also included water and wastewater infrastructure.
“Both Brendon and Forest are certified with NCEES, the National Council of Examiners for Engineering and Surveying. Each is a Model Law Engineer. We are impressed by their decision to pursue accreditation with an organization representing the highest standards for excellence in engineering,” Colvin stated.
“As we continue to build our teams in South Carolina, Forest and Brendon represent exactly the high caliber talent and energy that makes MRB Group indispensable to municipal and utility leaders. Both can point to significant professional accomplishments,” said Colvin.
“The development and opportunity that makes the Charleston area thrive depends on reliable resources like Forest, Brendon and MRB Group. Community leaders and utility districts can count on us to become extensions of their own team, and to expand their capabilities, helping them get more accomplished,” Colvin said.
