Bushnell’s Basin Fire Department

The Bushnell’s Basin Fire Department had spent years dealing with inadequate and outdated facilities. The new Station #1 is located in a historic district and set amongst Federal Style buildings that date to the late 19th century. The exterior design of the station was driven by the requirement to fit into the surrounding area without down playing the importance of this civic structure.
BIG IDEA
A design that addressed current needs while planning for the future. Issues of public safety and emergency preparedness were key drivers of every design decision.
